Food [in]security exists when people lack the access to satisfy their physical, social and economic needs in order to obtain sufficient, safe and nutritious food which meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life.

These four learning modules describe different barriers that prevent Ohio State students from being food secure. A student may face a combination of these barriers. In order to help your understanding, the food security problem at OSU has been presented in these four learning modules. 

There are four key areas which contribute towards food insecurity. These areas include human impacts, nutrition, sustainability, and hunger.
