Introduction

OSU Campus Overview

The Ohio State University, founded in 1870, is a large, public university in Columbus, Ohio. The 1,764-acre main campus of OSU is the third biggest campus in the US, and locates 2.5 miles north of the city's downtown. Olentangy River runs through the campus, providing the campus with serenity and beauty. 

In the middle of the campus lies the William Oxley Thompson Memorial Library. Apart from that, there are 20 more libraries all over the campus, most of them contains a coffee shop that provides students with necessary dining service. Nearly 30 locations are operated on campus, with a variety of service-styles, locations, hours and cuisines to serve the community. The famous Ohio Stadium is located near Olentangy River, other sports facilities are around Ohio Stadium, easy for students to get access to.

As a university with long history, OSU has awarded more than 700,000 degrees. The pie chart on the left shows the ratio of students enrolled currently at OSU.

The function of this website uses OSU as an example to help students learn about food insecurity and how to deal with this complex problem.

There are organizations at OSU which empower students to live a balanced life. The balanced life is an active, healthy, and aware life which is necessary for successful academic performance.
